Employee Spotlight

Paul Johnson, Seed & Agronomy Sales

If you’ve been a member of Central Counties Co-op for awhile, there’s a good chance that you know Paul Johnson. Paul joined the cooperative back in 1997 and has worked in a few roles during his tenure, including custom applications and agronomy.

In recent years, Paul has helped growers maximize their farm’s production by assisting them with crop planning, seed selection and chemical and fertilizer recommendations. In fact, interacting with customers and scouting fields for potential problems is his favorite part of his job. 

Paul grew up on a farm in East of Litchfield, where they had crops, beef steers, and hogs. After graduating from high school, he headed to Willmar Tech and the U of M for Ag Business.

Paul and his wife, Traci, have two kids. When he isn’t busy working with farmers, you’ll likely find him spending time fishing, camping, and hunting with his family and friends.

If you were stuck on an island and could only have three objects, what would they be?
Fishing hooks, knife, and a lighter.
